How do I join the team?
The first step towards joining the team is to attend one of our meetings.
We have meetings every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in Woolf Hall, room 413.
During the meeting, the Team Captain and Chief Engineer will give a general update of the team and the development of the current car. Afterwards, the Lead Engineers will give individual updates of their systems, in which they will explain what was accomplished during the week, and what are the goals for the next week.
UTA Racing is a volunteer organization. The meetings present an opportunity to learn about the intricacies of both the team and the car, and to know the varied tasks in which you can participate.

What is Supra SAE?
SAE SUPRA competitions are sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers, an internationally recognized professional sanctioning body tasked with establishing and enforcing specific rules and guidelines at each event. SAE is an international engineering society with over 60,000 members worldwide, dedicated to the advancement of land, sea, air and space vehicles. Formula SAE is the largest of the SAE sponsored student design competitions within its Collegiate Design Series. During the four-day event, TEAM FALCON MOTORSPORTS competes among a field of nearly 120 schools from across the globe and is judged on vehicle design, cost and performance, as well as the team’s ability to present to judges the engineering concepts used to develop the final design.

Yes! Every car is designed and built by students from scratch.

How do I become a driver?
Become a team member! There are plenty of ways to join the team.

I don't have any experience, can I still join the team?
Of course! UTA Racing welcomes all majors and levels of experience. Our team takes pride in its ability to develop professionals across all fields, and will take you through the process of learning new skills and becoming an experienced team member.
The only requirements are commitment and passion.

I'm unavailable during the meeting, can I come in at another time?
Absolutely! We also hold Workday meetings every Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Woolf Hall, room 102.
If neither meeting works for you, feel free to visit us at our office at any time. You will most likely find a team member working there.
